This project does look scary, but don't worry! It was really fun and honestly pretty quick!

Things you will need:
- 12x24" Cardstock (Michaels) for the sides of number
- 12x14" Cricut Sticky Mat
- 12x12" Cardstock for Details (can choose glitter paper for this as shown above)
- Hot Glue
- Cricut Machine
- Scoring Pen
- Fairy Lights
- Foam tape
- Acetate
- Scissors
1. You will need the 3D number templates to start this project. Once that is uploaded to your Design Space project you can start customizing. You can change the colors to what you want to use, can absolutely be different than mine above. You will also want to (obviously) change the name. To do so, add a new text on the left hand side of Design Space and type in the name. Choose a font that you like on the top ribbon. I do have Cricut access so the font I used was not free but there are also a lot of cute fonts to choose from that are free.
2. Once you have a font that you like then use the Offset feature on the top ribbon. I used this feature 4 times to get a lot of dimension on this accent. Make each layer a different color as you go so that you don't get confused. Once you have all the layers in the colors you desire, go ahead and cut!
3. I always start with everything that requires the 12x24" mat so that I can get that out of the way first. That includes the sides of the letter, MAKE SURE TO PUT THE SCORING PEN IN MACHINE!!! I felt like I had to put that in caps because I forget every time... ugh.
Continue to cut each layer with your Cricut, I like to glue the pieces as I go so I don't lose track of pieces or get confused where some go. I use Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to glue regular Cardstock together. If gluing glitter paper together, definitely use hot glue.
4. The top layer which is the number piece, will be the acetate layer. When cutting the acetate layer, you want it to be the same size as the back number so it covers the whole front and then you can add layers on top to cover it up. Make sure to turn the Cricut dial to custom and on your computer make sure you choose craft acetate. Make sure to add the fairy lights in before hot gluing this layer down! See Assembly instructions below.
Assembly:
1. When assembling the sides of the number, fold the paper on the score lines. Before you start gluing, test it out first on the backside of the number piece so you know exactly where it goes as you only get one shot at it once you start gluing. Once you know where the sides go, go ahead and glue to the backside of the number, again I use the Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue.
2. Once the sides are glued to the number, put your fairy lights into the number. I like to hot glue parts of the string into the number so it stays.
3. After the fairy lights are in, you can hot glue the acetate layer on the top.
4. Start hot gluing your next layers on top of each other to cover up the sides of the acetate layer.
5. If using a name like I did above, I added foam glue and I hot glued it to each layer which gave it depth.
6. Hot glue any accents to the top layers.
And you're done!!
